Ted's Tender Tips

Spareribs


For great spareribs in the oven or the barbeque, choose:

Baby Back Ribs or Ted's BBQ Style Side Ribs.


Place the ribs in a pot with cold, salted water. Bring ribs
to a gentle boil and continue boiling for 5 minutes.

Remove the ribs and rinse under cold water.

Season ribs to taste.

Preheat oven or barbeque to medium heat.

Place ribs 'bone side' down (towards the heat).

Approximately half way through the cooking time, cut the ribs
three quarters of the way between the bones and finish cooking.

Turn ribs over to meaty side, turn off heat.

Glaze the ribs with your favorite sauce and
the let them sit for 5 minutes before serving.
